How-To Make Everyday Valentine’s Day

It’s the day before Valentine’s Day and love is in the air. Romance is a given in the couple world on this one day of the year. Now what to do to keep the fire burning the other 364 days of the year?

No its not about flowers, chocolates or fancy presents all year round. Its much simpler and less expensive than that. It’s about housework. Read my post Fox News Latino for the secret on how to keep the fires burning in your bedroom all year:

Men, let me let you in on a little secret before Valentine’s Day. Studies have shown that the more housework you do, the more likely you are to have sex with your spouse.

There is a direct correlation between the two. Why? There is less conflict and greater happiness in households where husbands help out with the housework. And I can tell you from personal experience that this is true. The reason is simple: It’s a matter of energy.

Most mornings I wake up fantasizing about my husband. By 1 p.m., my fantasies are colorful. But by the time 6 p.m. rolls around, I am so exhausted that the thought of romance is out the door and a good night sleep is what I’m fantasizing about, instead.

Women take on a lot. We have careers. We raise children. We do most of the household chores. And we handle everything else in-between. Even after we are in bed many of us will get up one more time, to do one more thing, so it doesn’t fall to the next day’s list. It’s not the same for men.

Most men will walk over their dirty socks for days, even weeks, before making an effort to pick them up. Nine out of 10 times the only reason they pick them up is because they don’t have any cleans one left to wear. It just doesn’t bother them the way it bothers us. They claim to be too tired to throw out the trash, but give them a hint of Amor and suddenly their energy is restored.
