If you find yourself in need of an inexpensive but interesting gift for that green-minded, diet-forsaken person on your list, look no further. This eco-friendly edible wreath is the perfect sustainable solution. For about $15 to $20 and an hour of your time, you can give a beautiful edible wreath that will bring a smile to anyone on your list this holiday season!
Who doesn’t love a great piece of holiday décor that you can eat?
What You’ll Need
Metal wreath frame, available at most craft stores
Two bags of Tootsie Rolls
One Bag of Lindt Lindor Truffles
Use the yarn to tie Tootsie Rolls to the metal wreath frame until it looks full. The more the better since most of them may be eaten before the holidays!
Mix in clusters of the Lindt Lindor Truffles as ornaments to add color and variety. For best results, place truffles in bunches of three and place together sporadically around the wreath.
Make a ribbon bow and attach it to the top of the wreath.
Tie scissors to the back of the wreath with another piece of ribbon. Make sure the ribbon isn’t too long though so it’s out of the reach of small children.
Use the scissors to secure a festive, individual serving of holiday cheer!
You might want to include a small bag of extra candy for the sweet tooths on your list so that they can fill their wreaths back up after they’ve devoured most of the ornaments. Don’t want to have a bare wreath before the holidays are over!
Want to make multiple wreaths on a budget? Buy the candy in bulk from a wholesaler and you’ll have more than enough goodies to make wreaths for your hard-to-shop for friend, the babysitter and maybe even one for the office to bring in some much needed holiday cheer.
