Busting Beauty Myth: Matte Skin Makes You Look Younger

Hola mi gente!

So as a makeup artist, I get asked a lot of questions about makeup, hair
care, skin care, products, and overall myths and truths about beauty. So I
decided to submit a weekly makeup myth to help you all with a lot of your
questions. These are things you have probably heard over the years or
wondered about personally. Everyone wants to look good with or without makeup
and I am here to lend a helping hand. I hope this is very informative and
that I receive lots of emails with pics of your looks after each “dique”
myth buster. Enjoy lovies!!!

*Weekly Makeup Myth*

Matte skin makes you look younger

This would probably have to be the makeup equivalent of me saying
that you have to cut your hair short after a certain age. I am really not
sure who actually started this silly rumor, but just like healthy, shiny
hair, you can NEVER go wrong with glowing, fresh moisturized skin. Think
of Jennifer Lopez and her “JLo glow”, she is 48 and her skin is amazing.
To keep your skin refreshed use a facial treatment oil and a dewy
foundation and setting spray.

*What I think you should buy:* L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil. (retailed for
about $106.00, loccitane.com).

Stay bellos mi gente!
